Guten Morgen, π♂️
I know there are one or two people waiting for my new track. I had recently
announced this. But I've resolved, as I've mentioned
here before, not to release a track anymore that I'm not 100% behind. So what does that mean exactly(?) ... I've been way too quick to release my music in the past. I didn't deliver a hundred percent in a lot of my tracks. With that, I don't want to say that my music was bad in the past. Absolutely not! But the tracks could have been even better if I had invested a) more time and b) more work. So a quick release won't happen anymore. And if I end up releasing only one or two tracks in a year, so be it!
My new track "
Stroke" ... is currently
5:48 min long. I've been polishing this track for a few days. Actually, I wanted to release my track at Easter, but I just can't do it anymore. I know the announcement was made a while ago. But even after I finished it, I still found important things I wanted to change. For example, I have little experience in "vibrato" (
Hxx). I found that I did not always set this vibrato cleanly and efficiently. In addition, I will rework some parts regarding the loudness. What I'm really happy with is the panning. The panning in my track is incredibly well done. π
I have worked on my track (at this point) 86 times and over 47 hours! That's an incredible amount. Normally, most musicians in the demoscene work between 10 and 20 hours on their track. Rarely, however, sometimes 30.
You can look up my data later in OpenMPT in the history (under View > Edit History) and see for yourself. Why am I working on my track for so long? Well, see the beginning of this post.
But for now, I'm taking a break. Over Easter, the
Revision Party will take place and I will watch the online event on
Twitch or
CCC. I can't say exactly when I'll be there. But definitely on
Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 1pm (13 Uhr) for the
Tracked Music Compo. If you see
me on Twitch or
Discord during the event (April 15-18), you can also write me privately and leave me a greeting. π
Okay, enough writing. I wish you all a happy Easter! π°π₯π»
And have fun at the Revision (Online) Party this year.
PS: Sorry, for my bad English.
Yours,
melcom
