► A new track for a DemoScene project

Hey πŸ™‹‍♂️

A last post this year and that with a little surprise. 😊 I got an invitation to a demo scene project. I will be participating and have been working on a new track since 26-Dec-2020. A track that is inspired by another track of mine. In addition, I can reveal that my new track is rather quiet. But not too quiet. The first 3min of the track already sound very cool. In my imagination, it's night. Around me a great lighting in front and I walk through a city. The air is clear, there are no cars to be seen. Maybe there will be snow. πŸ˜‰ A great night and I hope my track will be too. πŸ˜ƒ

More information about the track will be available only at the release. Be prepared that it may take some time. It's a big project that I've been invited. I might just give you a little update in March 2021. I can't promise anything.

In a few days the year will be over. It was a year that we will all never forget. This pandemic has hit us all hard. Hopefully this horror will soon be over. I wish you all the best for the coming year.

Finally, there is to say ...
The contact page got a small update. You can contact me via GOG and / or  Steam in the future. Or just put me on your friend list - if that's your wish.

And as so often, please excuse my bad English. 🀦‍♂️

I wish everyone a happy new year. πŸŽ‡✨πŸŽ‰πŸΎπŸΈπŸΊ

melcom πŸ™‹‍♀️

► Desolate Runner 4: The Space We Are

Desolate Runner 4: The Space We Are

Ho ho ho ... πŸŽ… Surprise, surprise!

I present: Desolate Runner 4: The Space We Are

I released this month: 2 tracks and a music disc / album with 16 "slightly" reworked old tracks! I brought you enough gifts this month, and you hope you like them. 😊

This is the fourth part of the "Desolate Runner" saga. It is a world created by me that takes place in the future. "Desolate Runners" are humanoids / aliens who fight against the regime and system of their world. They live underground and operate in secret and they are constantly on the run. "Desolate Runner" is a collection of tracks I created and started in 2017.

Here is a list with all tracks of my "Desolate Runner" saga:

I hope you like this new track. Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸ€ΆπŸŽ…⛄

melcom

► We celebrate the 1st year of melcom-music.de

The sound of melcom - Classics

We celebrate the 1st year of ...
... www.melcom-music.de
✨🎈🎧

I present: The sound of melcom - Classics

This album contains a small collection of tracks from my demoscene time. All tracks have been "slightly" revised. I made sure (hopefully) that they didn't lose their old charm when I edited the MOD files. In addition, the tracks were not simply edited. No, I use the original trackers of that time to edit the MOD files. For the AudioFiles (wav / mp3) I used different VST plugins & mastering tools.

What have I actually changed / what is new?

I did my job quite well (I think). But then there are also special things, I had to use tricks to make the sample or the instrument sound better. Many samples are well over 20 years old or even older. I was also VERY inexperienced at that time. Besides, as a teenager I never had a good sound system. By the way; OpenMPT was a very big help for me in editing the samples! It is really a masterful tool.

  • In every single MOD file I tried to improve the samples. For example to remove a crackle.
  • Various loops within different samples have been improved.
  • In some tracks new passages (patterns / channels) have been added.
  • Many patterns / channels were revised. In really every track, something has been added or changed. You may not hear this sometimes, but I assure you, these places are there :)
  • And if too much of the song changed, it became a special edition or extended version.
  • NO sample has been replaced with a sample from today!

Why did I do that?
First; We celebrate the 1st year of melcom-music.de, and I would like to give you a gift. I want to make you happy. Yes, exactly, YOU! Who likes to come here often and always looks to see if there is something new from me. Times change. I have changed. I have (maybe) changed my music style etc. And still YOU come along and be faithful to me! That really means a lot to me. πŸ’™

Secondly;
I also like to listen to an old classic of mine. Often I am disturbed by what I did back then. My inexperience, my old sound system. Unfortunately I could not do it better.

And third;
It is Christmas πŸŽ„⛄

Finally;
Many of my tracks are so badly done that I often do not have the time to rework them completely. But I did my best in the time I had. After all, I have a Real Life as well and I also have quite different interests and obligations. I would have liked to rework many more tracks. Maybe that will come one day.

PS: I would like to thank my friend SagaMusix.de. Every day he was there for me. I think he probably got one or two grey hairs ;) You are a true friend and man of honor. Thanks a lot!

Enough talk, I hope you enjoy listening to revised works. I also wish you and your family a Merry Christmas - despite this pandemic that has hit us all. Stay healthy, everybody! 😷

And as always; sorry for my bad English.

Yours,
melcom

► Let me surprise you!

Yo πŸ™‹‍♀️πŸ™‹‍♂️

Let me surprise you! In December, on the 18th there will be a little surprise from me. It is for all lovers of (my) old mod files. In the last weeks I have been working very hard on it. And I can assure you, it was not always easy. I had many sleepless nights. And no, it was not because of my joy on Cyberpunk 2077. πŸ˜‰

Sit down a reminder!
Friday, 18-Dec-2020 - 2 pm (CET) / Freitag, den 18-Dez-2020 um 14.oo Uhr.

Come over here! Or check out my Twitter page that day. Now I will eat something and later I will play Cyberpunk 2077 πŸ€—

Stay healthy! 😷
Yours, melcom

► Mechanical Love Song

Mechanical Love Song
Stay a while and listen!

This is a love story between two robots.
Yes, robots also need love!
πŸ€– πŸ’™

Never forget this story and tell it to others ...

I present my new track: Mechanical Love Song. It all started in just a few minutes. I was bored and I played around a bit with the Schism Tracker. But suddenly it sounded more and more like music. The first alpha version for the public, you can listen to it here. I had an idea of two robots that search, find and fall in love. πŸ’™

All this time, I had a true friend by my side. Some of you will already know them. It is none other than my friend: SagaMusix.de. He gave me a lot of feedback and also strength, because I am in a time full of doubts. Doubts about myself and doubts about my work. I have him to thank for a very specific sample. A really great "Brass-Sample". You will hear this one and you will love this Brass-Sample! 😊

But now enough talking. More information on the download page. And now have fun with "Mechanical Love Song".

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸ€ΆπŸŽ…⛄
Stay healthy during this time! 😷

Best Regards, melcom
