► A new track for a DemoScene project

Hey πŸ™‹‍♂️

A last post this year and that with a little surprise. 😊 I got an invitation to a demo scene project. I will be participating and have been working on a new track since 26-Dec-2020. A track that is inspired by another track of mine. In addition, I can reveal that my new track is rather quiet. But not too quiet. The first 3min of the track already sound very cool. In my imagination, it's night. Around me a great lighting in front and I walk through a city. The air is clear, there are no cars to be seen. Maybe there will be snow. πŸ˜‰ A great night and I hope my track will be too. πŸ˜ƒ

More information about the track will be available only at the release. Be prepared that it may take some time. It's a big project that I've been invited. I might just give you a little update in March 2021. I can't promise anything.

In a few days the year will be over. It was a year that we will all never forget. This pandemic has hit us all hard. Hopefully this horror will soon be over. I wish you all the best for the coming year.

Finally, there is to say ...
The contact page got a small update. You can contact me via GOG and / or  Steam in the future. Or just put me on your friend list - if that's your wish.

And as so often, please excuse my bad English. 🀦‍♂️

I wish everyone a happy new year. πŸŽ‡✨πŸŽ‰πŸΎπŸΈπŸΊ

► Desolate Runner 4: The Space We Are

Desolate Runner 4: The Space We Are

Ho ho ho ... πŸŽ… Surprise, surprise!

I present: Desolate Runner 4: The Space We Are

I released this month: 2 tracks and a music disc / album with 16 "slightly" reworked old tracks! I brought you enough gifts this month, and you hope you like them. 😊

This is the fourth part of the "Desolate Runner" saga. It is a world created by me that takes place in the future. "Desolate Runners" are humanoids / aliens who fight against the regime and system of their world. They live underground and operate in secret and they are constantly on the run. "Desolate Runner" is a collection of tracks I created and started in 2017.

Here is a list with all tracks of my "Desolate Runner" saga:

I hope you like this new track. Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸ€ΆπŸŽ…⛄

► We celebrate the 1st year of melcom-music.de

The sound of melcom - Classics

We celebrate the 1st year of ...
... www.melcom-music.de

I present: The sound of melcom - Classics

This album contains a small collection of tracks from my demoscene time. All tracks have been "slightly" revised. I made sure (hopefully) that they didn't lose their old charm when I edited the MOD files. In addition, the tracks were not simply edited. No, I use the original trackers of that time to edit the MOD files. For the AudioFiles (wav / mp3) I used different VST plugins & mastering tools.

What have I actually changed / what is new?

I did my job quite well (I think). But then there are also special things, I had to use tricks to make the sample or the instrument sound better. Many samples are well over 20 years old or even older. I was also VERY inexperienced at that time. Besides, as a teenager I never had a good sound system. By the way; OpenMPT was a very big help for me in editing the samples! It is really a masterful tool.

  • In every single MOD file I tried to improve the samples. For example to remove a crackle.
  • Various loops within different samples have been improved.
  • In some tracks new passages (patterns / channels) have been added.
  • Many patterns / channels were revised. In really every track, something has been added or changed. You may not hear this sometimes, but I assure you, these places are there :)
  • And if too much of the song changed, it became a special edition or extended version.
  • NO sample has been replaced with a sample from today!

Why did I do that?
First; We celebrate the 1st year of melcom-music.de, and I would like to give you a gift. I want to make you happy. Yes, exactly, YOU! Who likes to come here often and always looks to see if there is something new from me. Times change. I have changed. I have (maybe) changed my music style etc. And still YOU come along and be faithful to me! That really means a lot to me. πŸ’™

I also like to listen to an old classic of mine. Often I am disturbed by what I did back then. My inexperience, my old sound system. Unfortunately I could not do it better.

And third;
It is Christmas πŸŽ„⛄

Many of my tracks are so badly done that I often do not have the time to rework them completely. But I did my best in the time I had. After all, I have a Real Life as well and I also have quite different interests and obligations. I would have liked to rework many more tracks. Maybe that will come one day.

PS: I would like to thank my friend SagaMusix.de. Every day he was there for me. I think he probably got one or two grey hairs ;) You are a true friend and man of honor. Thanks a lot!

Enough talk, I hope you enjoy listening to revised works. I also wish you and your family a Merry Christmas - despite this pandemic that has hit us all. Stay healthy, everybody! 😷

And as always; sorry for my bad English.

► Mechanical Love Song

Mechanical Love Song
Stay a while and listen!

This is a love story between two robots.
Yes, robots also need love!
πŸ€– πŸ’™

Never forget this story and tell it to others ...

I present my new track: Mechanical Love Song. It all started in just a few minutes. I was bored and I played around a bit with the Schism Tracker. But suddenly it sounded more and more like music. The first alpha version for the public, you can listen to it here. I had an idea of two robots that search, find and fall in love. πŸ’™

All this time, I had a true friend by my side. Some of you will already know them. It is none other than my friend: SagaMusix.de. He gave me a lot of feedback and also strength, because I am in a time full of doubts. Doubts about myself and doubts about my work. I have him to thank for a very specific sample. A really great "Brass-Sample". You will hear this one and you will love this Brass-Sample! 😊

But now enough talking. More information on the download page. And now have fun with "Mechanical Love Song".

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸ€ΆπŸŽ…⛄
Stay healthy during this time! 😷

Best Regards, melcom

► Another surprise in December

Hey πŸ™‹‍♂️

In December there will not only be a new (really great) track, there will also be a little surprise for "fans" of my old tracks. Unfortunately I cannot tell too much. But it will surely be good (I think). You can find a little foretaste on my Twitter page in two small videos. Check it out: 1min preview of a 21 years old Impulse Tracker song of mine. πŸŽ§

It will be a good month, I am sure.
A new track and also a little surprise for "fans" of the old mod files. πŸ˜€ The new track will be released before December 10th! The "surprise" will be available before Christmas.

So, check back here from time to time in December or keep an eye on my Twitter page: πŸŽ΅ π™’π™šπ™‘π™˜π™€π™’ 🎢 (@melcom2630) / Twitter

PS: Sorry for my poor English. I really try my best.

Stay healthy! 😷

► Upcoming music from melcom-music.de on bandcamp.com (in one album)

The sound of melcom

Hey, melcom here πŸ™‹‍♂️

A new "album" with the name "The sound of melcom" was brought to life.

Okay ... It is not really a new album!
Forgive me. I do not know what else to call it. 🀦‍♂️

In the future, this "album" will contain all future music singles from my website (melcom-music.de).

More and more tracks are added bit by bit! All of this is intended to provide people who enjoy listening to melcom music with a place to go where they can find, listen online or download all upcoming tracks.

In the beginning there may not be a large selection. This will hopefully change in the future. πŸ™‚

πŸ“’ Announcement:
There will be another track in December 2020. It will be great. The upcoming track will tell a story about the love of two robots. Will there be a happy end or will they feel nothing for each other? Find out ... in December 2020!

More information and which music you won't find on the "album" can be found here:

Best Regards,

► Wunderwelt - .it tracks will probably not be published

Hello Sceners, Hello World πŸ™‹‍♂️

In April 2o2o I released my album: Wunderwelt. I had no experience with revising my published tracks. They were my best tracks from the last years - I think. I had to decide for myself which were my best tracks. I rarely or never get any feedback. The interest in this album was virtually non-existent from the public. And it's been like this for years, with every track I release. Unfortunately I have very few loyal people who download my tracks and keep coming back to my website. I see you and I can see who likes to come by again and again πŸ˜‰ Thank you very much! πŸ’™

Back to my last album: Wunderwelt ...
Actually I planned to release the tracks of the album as .it files until Christmas 2o2o. But that will not happen. The interest in it is just too small for all the efforts I made to rework these tracks. Maybe I'm not doing enough to make people listen to my music? I have my Twitter and Youtube channel. Plus my web page. From time to time I am also on IRC in different scene channels. But there I am usually very, very quiet. I do not perform or advertise there for me or my music. It didn't help that I was invited by SceneSat to contribute some music to The Sound of SceneSat Volume 4 and Part 5. Maybe I am not worthy of the demoscene and my tracks are just too bad? I admit I am not the best musician - of course I know that. If only really well-known demosceners write to me (I won't name names, but you all know them) and praise me for my tracks, then I can't be that bad, can I? As you can see, I speak openly and very honestly about my problem. I am also not ashamed to admit that too few people listen to my music or there are hardly any downloads.

Let us come to the end ...
I have stopped working on the revised .it tracks of Wunderwelt for now. So it is not worth waiting for these tracks. Maybe one day I will decide to give these tracks to only a few people - when the tracks are finished. But I cannot promise that at this point in time. Thank you very much for your time. Thanks also to my loyal companions who like my music and then download it. 😊

PS: Sorry for my very bad English. 🀦‍♂️

Have a scary Halloween. πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ”ͺ

► MeThOd & MaDnEsS

Hello World πŸ™‹

There is a new track with the beautiful name: MeThOd & MaDnEsS and was composed with Schism Tracker. It is the first track of mine this year (2020). The track has a long history. It all started with the tool: Dolby Access for Windows 10 for my headphones. For several weeks I used this tool in my work with Schism Tracker. It should help me to better distribute the effects and events in the track. I do not want to say much more about this. Decide for yourself if you like the track or if it just sounds too weird? πŸ€ͺ

πŸ’Ύ Download
On the download page you can find the track in the following formats: .it & .mp3. You will also find a link to Soundcloud and the YouTube video

The link to Scene.org will be available in the coming days. Use the download-link to my Google-Drive (as alternative).

► New music album: Wunderwelt

Hello World,

My album Wunderwelt is finished and it sounds really good. πŸ˜Ž This album contains a selection of my most popular songs of the last years. Every track was completely reworked by me! Yup, you're reading right. πŸ˜ƒ Sometimes I changed the melody a little bit or corrected mistakes, which I only heard much later. Just one example is my track "Cyberpunk" where I forgot to change an old mistake in a recurring melody. A mistake I always wanted to correct, but never got around to.

Not all tracks had errors or were changed by me at the "melody". I have learned a lot in the last years / months in dealing with VST plugins. And I also used these for a better sound experience. I hope so, anyway πŸ€”

Of course you can still find the original versions of the tracks here on my site. Just visit my Music section and have a look around.

🎡 Enjoy ...

Happy Easter! 🐰 πŸ₯š
