► My samples only in .flac format now

 Hey πŸ™‹‍♂️

My self created samples, are now only available in .flac format. There are several reasons why I no longer offer these as .wav. For one, they are much smaller than a .wav file. Secondly, it has to do with the fact that I can use them in OpenMPT without any problems. There are other reasons, but they are not relevant here.

If you prefer to have my samples in .wav format, you can quickly convert the .flac files. How this works, I have described. Just follow the link here:
https://www.melcom-music.de/p/my-samples.html#samples

Meanwhile, there are more than 200 samples that I have created myself. Many hours of work and many of the samples I have already used myself.

You can find more information in the link above.

melcom

► melcom's chiptune archive now on scene.org

 Hallo πŸ™‹‍♂️

Almost 20 years ago, some demosceners and I got together, and we had the idea to build a chiptune archive. We got a lot of support from the demoscene and our IRC channel at the time: #coders.ger. We were also supported at the time by the website back2roots.org (Wayback Machine @ archive.org). We got more and more support and more and more tracks sent to us. But when I left the demoscene in 2004, and we were all more and more busy with our real lives, the archive was discontinued shortly after.

Only one snapshot of this archive exists. And this one is from 2005-02-05. This version of the archive was backed up by someone and got to archive.org in 2012. And now this archive has found a new home again, on scene.org.

melcom's ChipTune Archive (2005-02-05) has the following content:

  • More than 2k classic adlib modules
  • More than 4.2k classic chiptune modules
  • More than 1.7k classic ym modules

πŸ’Ύ Download:
melcom's_chiptune_archive_(2005-02-05).zip

I recommend the following player to listen to the tracks: XMPlay. You also need different plugins to really listen to all modules from the Chiptune Archive (which you can find on the XMPlayer page). If you have trouble finding a plugin, write me personally, and I'll offer you my plugin collection for download, or I'll help you find the right plugins.

I thank menace for offering my Chiptune Archive now on Scene.org. Thanks man!

Regards,
melcom

► I am in Discord

 Guten Morgen πŸ™‹‍♀️

I am now also available in Discord. I have updated my contact page and added the Discord channels where I can be found. I am in a few other Discord channels besides the ones I listed there. But these are not demo scene relevant. Just dare, come by, write me a private message or add me as your friend.

Well then ... You are cordially invited.

Best regards,
melcom
